Genesis 3:8-13 |
|
(And when they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in paradise in the afternoon, Adam and his wife hid themselves from the face of the Lord God, among the trees of paradise) | |
Vocatique Dominus Deus Adam et dixit ei: Ubi es?
(And the Lord God called Adam, and said to
him: Where are you?) (He said: I heard your voice in paradise; and I was afraid, because I was naked, I hid myself.) |
|
(He
said to him: And who told you that you were naked, unless you had eaten of
the tree that I commanded you not to eat?) (And Adam said: The woman, whom You bestowed on me to be my companion, gave me of the tree, and I ate it.) |
|
(And the Lord God said to the woman: Why have you done this? And she answered: The serpent deceived me, and I did eat.) |
