Nam longum tempus intelligitur decennium uel uicennium quod ad modum et ex legibus habetur.  Igitur auctoritate Gelasii et secularium legum huius longi temporis prescriptio ecclesiis obici non potest, set sola prescriptio xxx. annorum et deinceps a qua tamen prescription Romane ecclesie priuilegia sunt exclusa qua nonnisi c. annorum spatio prescribi possunt.

For a prescription of a long time is understood to be ten or twenty years that we have from custom (quod ad modum) and from statutes.  Therefore by the authority of Gelasius and of secular laws this prescription of a long time cannot be argued, but only prescription of thirty years.  The Roman church has the privilege of a 100 year prescription.
