§ Item: Quis plantat uineam, et de fructu eius non edit? Nos plantauimus uineam, et uos uultis edere fructus eius?

§ Item precepit Dominus per Moysen, ut nemo mittat falcem in alienam messem <Deut. 23.25>. Hec autem messis nostra est, et uos uultis in ea mittere falcem?

§ Item: "Non alligabis os boui trituranti <Deut. 25.4>." Nos boues sumus triturantes. Vos os nostrum queritis alligare et de tritura nostra uobis queritis uictum?

<Defendant> § Again: "If others have been given a share of your power, do not we have a greater claim?" <1 Cor. 9.12>

§ Again: Who plants a vine and does not eat the fruit?  We have planted a vine and you wish to eat the fruit? 

§ Again the Lord commanded through Moses that no one should put his sickle in another's harvest <Deut. 23.25>. This is our harvest and you wish to put your sickle in it?

§ Again: "Do not bind the mouth of the threshing ox. <Deut. 25.4>." We are the threshing oxen.  You seek to bind our mouth and from our harvest your want our victuals?
