	  Grades of 
	  Torture 
      1. Taking a defendant to the place where 
      torture is done 2. The defendant taken 
      to the place of torture and is stripped and bound but not tortured 3. The defendant is 
      raised for one "Ave Maria" or "Pater Noster" or 
	  "Credo" or "Miserere" (Psalm 50) 4. The defendant can be 
      tortured for three quarters of a hour 5. The defendant is 
      shaken and his feet are weighted with iron.  This grade of torture 
      can only be used for the crimes of treason or other hideous crimes. A 
      person may not be tortured in this way for more than hour |
