Plain of the Temples at Paestum, Antonio Joli

Paestum's temples were built by Greeks ca. 500 BCE.  The best preserved Greek temples are at Paestum and at Agrigento (left) and Segesta (right),  on the island of Sicily.   Both date ca. 500BCE
